The History of The Crown
Originally an 18-story building in 1926. In 1928, the CEO of AT&T designed and built the entire 19th floor penthouse and walk around deck on the roof of the 18th floor. He importanted certain rooms from castles in England and Scotland. During World War II, the 19th floor was divided into three apartments. A later owner of the building restored, rebuilt and returned the 19th floor to one living unit for himself.
